A Business After Hours (BAH) is a networking event hosted by different chamber members to meet and greet their current and future customer base. Chamber members and representatives are invited and the event is open to the public. Most BAH events draw a crowd of 30-40 people. This is an opportunity to learn more about the host business as well as others in attendance in a relaxed social setting. Prizes are provided by the host business and can range from very nice prizes to fun and corny prizes. This is more about creating the atmosphere than the actual prize, so hosts are encouraged to have fun with this. The Chamber also hosts a $50.00 raffle during the event of members and representatives who have RSVP'd ahead of time for the event. A second member drawing is also held at each Business After Hours which starts out at $250.00. Each Chamber Business is entered into this drawing and if drawn and there is a person from that business there they win the prize. If there is not a winner that prize increases $25.00 per Business After Hour up until a maximum of $500.00.
The event, invites individuals to your business for the opportunity to get to know you and your business, bottom line, let them get to know you, like you and trust you, they will in turn become your customers, friends and support group, even if you are competing businesses, coming together will build both of you up.
